CiviDay 2016 is an informal afternoon of networking and exploring CiviCRM to be held in Canberra, in the Communities@Work community centre in Tuggeranong.
At CiviDay 2016, we'll take a look at the new features in version 4.7 (due for release on 27 January 2016), and talk about how different organisations use CiviCRM.
If your organisation uses CiviCRM, or is thinking about using it, this is an opportunity to get to know other Canberra organisations using it, talk about the problems you need to solve, and find out what the future holds for CiviCRM.
About CiviCRM
CiviCRM is a an open source Client Relationship Management system, designed for the community sector. Using a CRM means you can track all the information about your contacts and activities in one place. When you can do that, you can answer questions like “How many people donated to our campaign this month?” or “Which of my volunteers is most likely to say yes if I ask for help with this event?” or “What interactions have we had with Harry?”.
CiviCRM can replace a diverse range of third party services to manage:
- Contacts - members, supporters, clients, Department staff, media and VIPs
- Relationships between contacts, and groups of contacts
- Communication - emails, newsletters, phone calls, meetings, interviews, SMS messages
- Events - registration and tickets, payments, attendee lists and name tags, reporting
- Online surveys and petitions
- Financial contributions - event fees, membership fees, donations
- Campaigns - personal campaign pages, marketing campaigns, membership drives
- Grants - online grant applications, assessment, tracking payments, reporting
- Membership - online join and renewal, payments, reporting
